It’s the final instalment of Women’s history month, and today we’re talking with Estella Bryan.

I’m Estella, Engagement Manager at CitySprint. I joined the business in 2002, back in the days of walkers, on-board couriers and paper PODs.
In my role, I mainly co-ordinate and help to organise and support the BI developers to resource and deliver business projects. Prior to project inception, I worked with the business to gain a high-level understanding of a project’s requirements, which are then broken down into technical deliverables by the BI team.
During my time at CitySprint, I have experienced many different roles. I initially joined the business, fresh from completing a Business Science degree course, as an On-Site Supervisor at a client site. I then became a Key Account Manager where I managed multiple client portfolios including AMEX, MITIE, ARUP, HSBC and ‘famously’ for those who remember, PwC.
The biggest change came for me when I returned to the business after maternity leave to support the implementation of SugarCRM to the business. As the CRM Project Manager, my responsibilities included stakeholder management and identifying, developing and implementing solutions in CRM to enrich business goals.
My favourite thing about my job is the close working relationships with a range of people who are all open to fresh ideas and approaches. I highly value my interactions with colleagues, and I am truly fulfilled by our collaborations and their energy. I take great satisfaction in mapping out an idea, strategizing with the team, and then seeing a project through to fruition. I also enjoy trying to brighten the teams daily Stand Up call with my wacky sense of humour!
I have learnt something from every business project I have been involved in. The key for me is that there is always room for growth, so I make a point of reflecting on my involvement with my teams and the impact on the wider business. I am conscious that ‘you are only as good as your last job’ so consistency and continuous improvement are important to me.
If I could give you just one piece of advice, it would be to remain confident, believe in your abilities and enjoy the ride!
